TRIAL INTAKE

Contact Mimaki With the Job, Not Just a Model Number

A useful first message explains the substrate, printed width, image coverage, final use, required finishing and the failure mode that would make the route unacceptable. That context helps distinguish a catalog question from an application-engineering test.

01

Application desk

Use the form for DTF, UV, sublimation, eco-solvent or other wide-format workflow questions. Include the intended operating region so availability and service assumptions can be checked rather than inferred. Describe whether the job is a new process, a replacement route or an investigation of a repeatability problem.

Trial preparation

Prepare representative media, artwork with known problem areas, the present process recipe and a simple acceptance checklist. Remove confidential artwork unless an appropriate handling agreement is in place. When possible, send an unprinted control sample and a finished reference so surface, color and finishing differences have a physical baseline.

Response window

Requests are reviewed during local business hours. No fixed response-time promise is made in the supplied project assets; urgent production incidents should follow the authorized regional service route for the installed device. General inquiry handling cannot replace model-specific safety procedures, maintenance instructions or an active service agreement.

REPRODUCIBLE REQUEST

Define the test boundary

List the exact material and downstream operation. For UV work, describe surface preparation and desired white or clear layers. For DTF, include film, powder, garment and press route. For sublimation, name transfer paper, fabric composition and heat equipment. For eco-solvent, include media, drying and lamination timing.

State how the sample will be judged. Useful checks include an adhesion method, a named wash sequence, contour-registration tolerance, color target, rub exposure or bend requirement. If no numerical threshold exists, provide the approved current sample for side-by-side review and identify who has authority to sign the result.

  • Do not send production credentials or passwords.
  • Do not claim a result applies beyond the tested configuration.
  • Retain an approved sample with its settings after the trial.
