APPLICATION ENGINEERING

Mimaki Services, Written as Test Conditions

Service begins before installation. A useful handoff records the substrate, ink channel configuration, profile, pass mode, cure or transfer settings, finishing sequence and acceptance criteria that define the job.

SERVICE SCOPE

Inputs on one side, evidence on the other

Application review

Input
Artwork, substrate, size, run profile and final use
Output
Trial matrix with the variables to hold, change and measure
Boundary
A screen review cannot confirm adhesion or wash behavior

Media and ink trial

Input
Production media from the intended supplier and lot where possible
Output
Printed sample, configuration record and observed failure modes
Boundary
A trial result applies only to the tested preparation and conditions

Color workflow setup

Input
RIP path, target color set, measurement device and lighting standard
Output
Profile choice, linearization notes and approval target
Boundary
Device color depends on media, ink loading and measurement practice

Production handoff

Input
Approved sample and the production steps after printing
Output
Operator checklist, maintenance cadence and escalation points
Boundary
Throughput estimates exclude untested finishing bottlenecks
CONTROLLED METHOD

A five-step path from question to production record

The sequence separates measurable findings from assumptions. It also keeps a later change in ink, film, board or fabric from being mistaken for a machine fault.

  1. 01

    Frame the claim

Replace “good quality” with measurable needs: viewing distance, white opacity, contour tolerance, rub exposure, wash cycle or forming step.

  2. 02

    Freeze the baseline

Record media preparation, ambient conditions, profile, pass mode, ink channels, heater or lamp settings and any pre-treatment.

  3. 03

    Change one variable

Run a compact matrix that isolates the suspected control point. Multiple simultaneous changes may hide why a result improved or failed.

  4. 04

    Complete finishing

Powder and press DTF film, transfer sublimation paper, laminate signage or allow the specified cure interval before evaluation.

  5. 05

    Archive the recipe

Keep the approved physical sample with its job settings and material identifiers. Revalidate after any material, ink or process revision.

Reproducibility path: request the trial matrix, supply representative media, witness or review the documented run, then repeat the approved settings on a production-sized job.

Start with the failure mode you cannot accept

Send the substrate, finishing path and acceptance check. The reply can focus on the conditions that need evidence.
